The making of my double page spread

I have now completed my double page spread, I have added please turn over at the bottom of the page to make it appear like a really magazine double page spread interview. I have used the same colours through out to fit in with the general house style of my magazine.

The making of the double page spread

I have started to add the text and i am going to position it on the right hand side of the image, I am going to position the text into column as that is normally used on a double page spread interview to layout the text.

The making of the double page spread

I have used the same background for my double page spread as i have for my front cover and contents page which adds to the house style. i have also used the same colour scheme and fonts to make it look professional and neat. I have used a medium close up shot of which is a clear photo of him and the guitar and he is looking straight at the camera which is the type of posed picture that is normally used on a double page spread.

The making of the contents page

My contents page is now complete, i have added 3 pictures in total of things that are going to be within my magazine. I have also added a white frame around my images to give it a sharp effect which also matches with the white frame around the outside of contents text.

The making of the contents page

The making of the contents page

I have used the same back and font on my contents page which makes it look professional, i have used sub heading when writing my contents to break it up as I discovered this is what music magazine do when doing my research.

The making

I have added the second cover line underneath the first one which appears to work well. I have also made and added a bar code in the bottom left hand corner to make it look more magazine like. I decided to add a puff along the bottom of my magazine, which is advertising tickets to make it appear more to my audience.

The making

I have added the first cover line and used a brush stroke font which stands out well on my main image and also fits in with the style of the image.

The making

I have now made a background which looks textured rather than using just a block of colour. I have also added a strap line across the top to make it look more like a music magazine which i discovered when doing my research.

Designing and making my front cover

This is the first stage of my making I have chosen this font as I believe it will appeal to both genders and fits in with overall style of my magazine. The colours I have chosen for the font are blue, with a small amount of yellow around the edge, this wasn't what I initially planned to do but it stands out better than white or black. The results of my questionnaire showed that my magazine cover would be themed black, white and blue I will carry on using this colour theme through out my magazine making process.

Planning and research: front cover images

I took a selection of front cover images, using different angled shots, images colour and guitar to give me a different variety of images to choose from. I decided to use the second image as it gives the write effect for my genre of magazine, as the colouring and angle of the shot look professional

Time Management update

When looking back at my action plan i have been in target with all my previous post such as planning and research. I am now slightly behind on the making of my front cover and contents page as it has taken me longer to make it then I thought it would. I am also going to start posting images/screen shots of the making process to show my progress.
